Third National Vice Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Alhaji Osman Masawudu, popularly known as Chairman Buga Buga, has denied claims that he snatched the wife of Ghanaian musician Fancy Gadam.
According to him, the woman, who is now his second wife, had already ended her relationship with the musician before he met and married her.
Chairman Buga Buga explained that Fancy Gadam and the woman were no longer together when he approached her.
“Fancy Gadam and I do not have any problem. I met him once in a restaurant in Accra,” he said.
He rejected claims that he took another man’s wife, arguing that the relationship between the musician and the woman had already ended.
“People are accusing me of being a wife snatcher, but that is not true. I do not know whether it is a crime to propose to a woman who was previously in a relationship that has ended. They were no longer together,” he stated in a video shared on social media.
He added that Fancy Gadam had also publicly spoken about their separation.
“Even Fancy Gadam publicly stated that he was no longer with the lady,” he said.
The NPP executive further explained that he did not rush into the marriage, saying he took time to know the woman before making the decision.
“As a man of my status, I would not just date a woman casually. After knowing her for about two months, I married her, and she is now my second wife,” Chairman Buga Buga added.
