Ghana legend Asamoah Gyan believes the Black Stars have a good chance of beating England when the two teams meet in an important Group L match at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Even though he admits England are a strong team, Gyan says surprises can happen in tournament football and Ghana should not be counted out.
“On paper, England are ahead of Ghana, but in a tournament, anything can happen,” Gyan said.
“It all depends on how each team approaches the game.”
The former Black Stars captain said the national team often performs well when people expect less from them.
“We know our national team, and that’s why we love them. The people back home are passionate.”
