The national third vice chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Alhaji Masawudu, known popularly as Buga, has stated that only three positions in the NPP need to be occupied by intellectuals.
According to him, the Chairman, General Secretary, and Communications Director positions are the only positions that are the sole preserve of intellectuals.
He says apart from these positions, the other positions must be occupied by people who belong to the streets and will go all out.
The Vice Chairman of the NPP was speaking on Accra-based Neat FM when he made this opinion known.
“In the NPP, there are only three positions that should be occupied by intellectuals. The positions are Chairman because you’ll have to meet people, General Secretary because you are the CEO of the party and the Communications Director because you’ll have to use facts to communicate.
If you have intellectuals occupying these positions, all you need to do is have buga people occupying women organizer, organizer, youth organizer and the vice Chairman position. This is what will help us win the elections,” he said.
