The 2026 X1 DOL Super Cup has ended successfully, with the Catch Them Young referees playing an important role throughout the competition.
The Ghana Football Association’s Catch Them Young Referee Policy is designed to identify, develop and give young referees the opportunity to gain valuable experience at a competitive level.
The initiative featured prominently at the fifth edition of the X1 DOL Super Cup in Obuasi, with 16 young referees selected to officiate during the tournament. The group consisted of eight centre referees and eight assistant referees.
The young officials successfully completed the competition, gaining valuable experience while showcasing their abilities on an important stage of the X1 DOL calendar.
Their involvement highlights the importance of investing in the next generation of match officials and giving them opportunities to develop their skills through competitive football.
