Four months after she and her seven children were reported missing, Indianapolis resident Makala Pendley, an expectant mother, was discovered dead in Mexico.
Authorities identified blunt-force trauma as the cause of death when her body was found in Chiapas.
Her partner is the main suspect in the case and has been taken into custody.
Thankfully, Pendley’s seven children have all been found and are now in protective custody.
While they grieve the loss of a loving mother, family members are now working to protect their future.
