The Public Utilities Regulatory Commission (PURC) has announced a reduction in electricity and water tariffs following its 2026 second quarter review.
Electricity tariffs will decrease by 4.81 percent, while water tariffs will reduce by 3.06 percent, effective April 1, 2026.
The Commission said the adjustment reflects changes in key economic factors such as the Ghana cedi to US dollar exchange rate, inflation, and the cost of natural gas used for power generation.
The review also introduces a commercial Electric Vehicle charging tariff, aimed at supporting Ghana’s transition to 5cleaner energy.
