The Savelugu Municipal Education Directorate has announced the death of Mr Fusini Alendu Ghene, a teacher at Gushei M/A Basic School, following an attack in the Gushei community.
In a statement, the Directorate said Mr Ghene “placed a distress call to the Saveugu Police Command,” but officers found him lifeless when they arrived at the scene.
The Directorate extended condolences to his family, colleagues, pupils and the teaching fraternity, adding that “the Police Command has commenced investigations into the matter.”
It also urged teachers, especially those in rural communities, to remain cautious and promptly report any security concerns.
