Veteran singer Amandzeba has spoken glowingly about Stonebwoy following their recent collaboration.
The highlife legend revealed that although the pair did not record together physically because Stonebwoy was out of the country, they remained in contact throughout the project.
“We didn’t go to the studio together because he was outside. He sent me the track,” Amandzeba explained.
He disclosed that their interactions went beyond recording, as they discussed different ideas about music and artistic direction.
According to him, he shared some concerns about the growing use of Jamaican patois in Ghanaian music, and Stonebwoy responded positively.
“He took it in good faith. He even called me,” he said on Channel One TV.
Amandzeba used the opportunity to praise the award-winning musician’s talent and attitude.
“He’s such a wonderful musician,” he stated.
The veteran artist added that collaborations between older and younger musicians create opportunities for meaningful exchanges rather than unnecessary criticism.
“We work together. We play the music together,” he said.
