A Nigerian man, Musa Elshaarawy from Gombe State, has married his “uncle’s daughter,” Khadeejerh, with whom he grew up.
In a post on Facebook, Musa shared a photo of them from 2011. “This is a photo of me and my uncle’s daughter.
“We took the picture in 2011. At that time, I was 12 years old, while she was 2 years and a few months old,” he said.
He described the close bond they shared as children. “I took very good care of her whenever she and her mother came to our house.
“We became so close that whenever she was crying, she would immediately stop as soon as I carried her.
“I still remember how I used to save my transport money to school just so I could buy her Choki Choki and cheese balls.
“Even though she was heavy, I would still carry her and play with her because of the strong bond between us.”
Musa expressed his gratitude and excitement as their wedding approached. “Today, there are just 10 days left until I get married to her. Allah, I thank You,” he wrote.
On Saturday, January 24, he shared photos from the wedding, celebrating the special moment. “Love always wins. The girl that I used to care for in 2011 has become my wife. We will live forever by the grace of God. Oh Allah, bless our marriage. Alhamdulillah,” he wrote.
