Former Dome-Kwabenya MP Sarah Adwoa Safo is receiving medical treatment after a reported shooting incident at the residence of her younger brother, Israel Kwadwo Safo, on Sunday.
According to information from a source familiar with the matter, Adwoa Safo sustained injuries during the incident but remains in a stable condition.
The source said the former legislator was inside a vehicle when gunshots were fired.
“She is very okay. She is at the hospital. The injury is not too serious, but an injury is an injury. She was in the car when she was shot,” the source stated.
The source further claimed that the weapon used appeared to be a pump-action gun, with pellets causing injuries to parts of her upper body.
According to the account, some pellets caused injuries beneath her neck and on her chest.
The source added that she was bleeding before being transported to hospital for treatment.
Adwoa Safo is currently receiving medical attention, with the source indicating that her injuries are not considered life-threatening.
The incident comes amid an ongoing dispute within the Kristo Asafo family regarding succession arrangements following the passing of Apostle Kwadwo Safo.
