Former Interior Minister and former Greater Accra Regional Minister, Henry Quartey, has stated that he did not take any government land for personal use during his time in office.
Speaking on Dwaso Nsem on Adom FM, Quartey explained that the lands allocated during his tenure were intended for projects that would benefit the public.
“I didn’t take any government land during my time as Interior Minister,” he said. “All the lands I allocated were for public use and meant to benefit the general public, not for my personal benefit.”
Quartey further noted that one of the allocations was aimed at supporting healthcare development. According to him, the land was designated for a project intended to improve health services.
“The land was specifically intended to serve the public through improved healthcare infrastructure,” he added.
Quartey maintained that the decisions taken during his tenure were made with the public interest in mind.
