This is not good – Manasseh reacts to INTERPOL update on Ofori Atta

Following the deletion of former Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta from INTERPOL’s Red Notice system, investigative journalist Manasseh Azure Awuni has suggested that the development is not welcoming.

Beyond that, he questioned IMANI Boss Franklin Cudjoe on why he apportioned blame to the doorstep of the Attorney General Dominic Ayine.

Manasseh responded cautiously to the development, saying the public deserves clarity on what transpired.

In a message shared on his Facebook page, he referenced parts of the ruling that highlighted issues relating to the timing of the Red Notice, the nature of the charges, and doubts about the purpose of the registration.

He also cited concerns about inaccurate data being processed for months without updates.

“If the above paragraph I have quoted is inaccurate, I know you have the ears of the OSP. Kindly let us know,” he wrote.

The removal was confirmed in a February 13, 2026, statement by Minkah-Premo, Osei-Bonsu, Bruce-Cathline and Partners, which said INTERPOL’s Commission for the Control of Files ruled at its 135th Session that the notice “appears of a predominantly political character” and does not comply with Article 3 of INTERPOL’s Constitution.
