England midfielder Declan Rice has praised Thomas Partey and the Ghana team ahead of Tuesday’s FIFA World Cup Group L match.
Speaking before the match, Rice said England expects a tough test from Ghana, even though they are considered favourites.
“Thomas Partey is a really good player,” Rice said.
“I’ve played a lot against the Ghana players. They bring pace and strength.”
The two players spent several seasons together at Arsenal and built a strong partnership before Partey left the club in 2025.
