Titus-Glover should make way for younger NPP members to lead 2028 campaign – Maiga

Ali Maiga Halidu insists Daniel Nii Kwartei Titus-Glover should give younger NPP members the opportunity to lead the party’s grassroots mobilisation ahead of the 2028 elections.

Maiga, who is 45, said Titus-Glover, 60, had already served in several public positions and should now allow others to take up leadership responsibilities.

“At age 60, I think he is tired and should allow young men like myself, who is 45 years old, to lead the charge to recapture power for the party,” Maiga said on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen.

He pointed to Titus-Glover’s previous roles as a minister, deputy minister, CEO and deputy CEO as part of the reason he believes other members should be given the opportunity to serve.

“He has been a minister before, deputy minister, CEO, deputy CEO. So it’s okay, he should let us who haven’t gotten any appointment yet do the work,” he said.

Maiga said his decision to contest the National Organiser position is driven by his desire to bring fresh energy to the party’s mobilisation efforts and help the NPP return to power in 2028.

“He has done some, so he should leave the rest for us. Let’s do some of the work and win back power in 2028,” he added.
