Managing Director of the Tema Oil Refinery(TOR), Lawyer Edmond Kombat, has donated assorted food items to the Muslim community in the North East Region. The donation is to support the community during the fasting period.
The donation includes 200 bags of sugar, 500 cartons of milk and tea.
“The items were received on behalf of the Muslim community by the Director of Operations, YEA-North East Region, the Estate Manager, YEA, North East Region, and the Regional Coordinator of the Apprenticeship Program. They expressed their appreciation for Mr. Kombat’s kind gesture and wished him well in his endeavours,” a report by his aide Dizoba Martin Lolonyo said.
Mr Kombat is credited with revamping the Tema Oil Refinery and ensuring that the facility has resumed refining fuel since 2018. He is a widely respected political figure in the region of his origin.
