Ugandan player who plies his trade for SC Villa, David Owori has died from his injuries after he was reportedly attacked by unknown thugs.
The club confirmed his death in a statement released on Wednesday, August 5, after earlier announcing that the footballer was receiving medical attention following an incident the previous night.
SC Villa described Owori as a “valuable player, leader, and servant of the game” and said his passing was a loss to the club and Ugandan football.
The club also called on security agencies to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident and bring those responsible to justice.
