Chief Executive Officer of the Korle Bu Teaching hospital has disclosed that the facility has not left patients to sleep on the bare floor.
According to him, emergency unit recorded high numbers that some patients had to be made to sit on chairs.
” We recorded high numbers that some patients were made to sit in chairs. However, at no point were patients made to sleep on the floor,” he told health Minister when he visited the facility.
His comment come after a viral video exposed the lack of beds at the facility.
To him, the viral video may be Ai generated because the facility holds its patients in high esteem and will not subject them to such inhumane treatment.
”We are still reviewing the images we saw whether it is Ai generated or whatever. Clearly that is not the way we manage patients here,” he said.
