Voters who snubbed NPP in 2024 will still not vote for them now – Report

Revered pollster, Mussa Dankwah says findings from a recent Global Info Analytics poll indicate that voters who did not participate in the 2024 election are still unlikely to support the NPP if another election were held today.

According to him, Mahama would attract 56.7 percent of votes from that group, while Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia would receive 35.3 percent and other candidates 9 percent.

“The poll shows that voters who did not vote in the 2024 election, if given another chance, will still not vote for NPP,” Dankwah stated.

He said the survey also suggests that Bawumia has lost support to other candidates compared to previous figures.

“DMB rather lost grounds to other candidates, a phenomenon the NPP should seek to cure if they really want to win the 2028 elections,” he said.

Dankwah also highlighted regional trends captured by the poll, stating that Mahama was projected to face challenges in Bono, Bono East and parts of the Northern regions.

At the same time, he said the survey showed Mahama performing better in the Eastern Region, Greater Accra, Central, Western and Western North regions compared to previous results.

According to Dankwah, these findings form part of the broader data collected by the poll.
