Prophet Bernard ElBernard Nelson-Eshun has addressed his congregation for the first time since his inaccurate prophecy about the NPP primaries, emphasizing accountability and reflection.
Speaking during a church service, he referred to a book he wrote on prophetic responsibility.
“In my book, The School of Prophecy, chapter sixteen, the title is ‘When a Prophet Misses It.’ This is a book I wrote several years ago,” he said.
He explained that the book outlines how prophets should respond when their words do not come to pass.
“I outlined what must happen and what must be done when a prophet misses a prophetic word,” he stated.
Prophet Bernard said he has chosen to follow the principles he wrote about.
“I have submitted myself to the writings in this book, and I have released two statements,” he said.
“One is the public statement and apology, and the other is the statement of accountability.”
He added that he carefully chose his words in those statements.
“Everything I wanted to tell you is in those statements because I hold myself accountable,” he noted.
