Lecturer at Kaaf University College, Dr Eric Bempong, has said he never supported John Boadu’s bid for National Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), even though delegates chose him because they believed he could lead the party to victory.
Speaking on Oyerepa TV monitored by MyNewsGh.com, Dr. Bempong said he did not consider John Boadu the right candidate to win the position.
“I never supported the idea of John Boadu becoming National Chairman, even though the delegates wanted him because they believed he was the one who could lead the party to victory,” he said.
“For me, he was not the right candidate to win,” Dr. Bempong added.
He, however, said John Boadu now has to prove his critics wrong by delivering in his new role.
“He needs to prove people wrong. Especially those who did not vote for him,” Dr. Bempong said.
According to him, the new NPP National Chairman must prove his effectiveness in office and meet party members’ expectations.
“He has to show that he delivers on the job to the satisfaction of the NPP members,” he said.
