It’s only a useless leader whose party loses his seat when he leaves Parliament—Eric Adjei

Chief Executive Officer for the National Entrepreneurship & Innovation Programme (NEIP), Eric Adjei, holds the view that if a Member of Parliament decides to leave Parliament and his seat is succeeded by the opposing party, the said MP is very useless.

According to him, it is a clear indication that while the Member of Parliament was holding office, he didn’t make it a point to train anyone to take over from him and keep the seat for the party.

He was speaking on Accra-based Peace FM when he made this known.

“You are making the analysis that people lost this seat, and this one lost that seat. If you are an MP for thirty years and you leave the seat and your party loses the seat, it means you did not train anyone for the people, and so when you are not there, they cannot get what they want,” he stated on Peace FM.

He moved on to condemn tribal and religious politics going on in the New Patriotic Party’s primaries, indicating that it is alien to Ghanaian politics and must not be entertained.
