Abdul Fatawu Issahaku says Ghana’s preparations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup are progressing positively as the Black Stars enter the final phase of training in Providence, Rhode Island.
The team arrived in Rhode Island on Thursday evening after leaving Virginia, where they completed a week-long training camp following their international friendly against Wales in Cardiff.
Issahaku expressed satisfaction with the mood in camp and the quality of training sessions as the team builds toward the tournament.
“So far, so good. The energy and everyone in camp is ready, and the training is going well. We are just getting ready. For me personally, I have enjoyed the training we are doing so far, and I think it’s positive because I can see changes. We’re getting fit and getting ready for the game.”
Head coach Carlos Queiroz and his 26-man squad resumed training on Friday as they intensify preparations for their Group L opener against Panama.
