Black Stars captain Jordan Ayew has shared a confident message before Ghana’s important FIFA World Cup match against England, saying the team believes it can compete with any country in the tournament.
Speaking to Ghanafa.org, Ayew said the Black Stars are fully focused on the challenge ahead and will continue to take the tournament one match at a time.
“We have two important games left. We take it game by game,” Ayew said.
“We are focused on getting the three points in the next match, and after that we will think about the last game.”
Ghana go into Tuesday’s Group L match with confidence after Caleb Yirenkyi’s late goal gave them a 1-0 win over Panama in their opening game.
