Director of Communications for the Bawumia campaign team, Dennis Miracles Aboagye, says government should not attribute Accra’s recurring flooding to the actions of a few undisciplined individuals.
Speaking on JoyNews’ Newsfile while discussing the June 29 floods, he said every society has people who do not follow the rules, but leadership exists to manage such situations.
“In every society, there will be thieves, there will be criminals, there will be miscreants, there will be deviants, there will be recidivists, they are everywhere,” he said.
“But leadership ensures that all these people are able to co-exist in a way that the society thrives.”
According to him, governments are elected to protect the wider public from the consequences of irresponsible conduct by a minority.
“To try and use the indiscipline of a few as a cover for leadership failure is unacceptable,” he said.
