At the 2026 TEIN Convocation held at the Accra College of Education, NDC Greater Accra Youth Organiser Amorse Blessing Amos urged student leaders to exercise restraint when seeking support from party officials and public institutions.
Addressing delegates, he criticised what he described as inappropriate conduct by some student groups during official visits.
“There is some disease that has entered Greater Accra. They go to the office, when they are given something small, they will not even leave there and they will start fighting on the compound,” he said in a video available to MyNewsGh.
He cited an incident at Parliament where, according to him, a group arrived with more people than they had indicated.
“They gave their number, but when they got there, they were more than the number they gave. The provision Parliament made for them was short of one, and because of that they refused to accept the food,” he said.
He urged student leaders to change their approach.
“We beg you, you were elected to work on your campus. Be moderate with how you reach out to people for support,” he stated.
