Ghana’s Education Minister, Haruna Iddrisu, has asked for a full-blown investigation into the circumstances leading to the death of a level 200 student of the University of Cape Coast.
Ms Innocentia Avinu was reported missing but was later found dead without parts of her body cut off.
It is not clear what happened to the young student who was full of life.
But a statement from the Education Ministry has urged the school’s authority to work closely with security officials to unravel the mystery behind her death and also bring the persons behind it to book.
The minister used the opportunity to commiserate with the family of the deceased and assured them of the government’s commitment to bring those behind this to book.
