Panji Anoff has shared his views on religion, human origins and the preservation of history, saying he does not subscribe to some widely accepted accounts of creation.
The songwriter and creative director said he believes humans are the product of beings from another planet.
“I believe we are the product of aliens who came from another planet,” he said during an interview with musician Richie Mensah.
Panji Anoff also questioned traditional religious narratives, saying he does not believe in the Abrahamic accounts of creation, including stories about Christ, Adam and Eve.
He further challenged conventional ideas about education and historical records, arguing that written history is not necessarily more reliable than oral traditions.
“One plus one is two. One plus one is not two. So we think education protects information. It doesn’t,” he said.
According to him, African societies relied on oral history partly because written records and cultural materials were often destroyed.
“The reason why we adopted oral history is because the barbarians kept burning our houses,” he stated.
