Lawyer and Executive Director of Lands and Mines Watch Ghana, Kwame Owusu Danso, has called on Ghanaians to support the government’s efforts to address the country’s economic challenges.
Speaking on Joy Prime, he said economic recovery requires public support and constructive contributions.
“Why don’t we all try as much as possible, lend support to this administration, give all our ideas to this administration, and see the economy perform miracles so that you and I can get money into our pockets,” he said.
Kwame Owusu Danso said he also feels the effects of the current economic conditions but believes they are linked to broader governance issues.
“I don’t have money. That’s a fact. But I don’t have money not because somebody decided not to put money in my pocket,” he stated.
He added that every government must address the challenges it inherits.
“Governance is a continuum. So if this administration comes and is faced with some challenges, they have to deal with it. If it is bedevilled with some economic problems, they have to deal with it,” he said.
