Dr. Stephen Amoah aka Sticka has said he deliberately chose not to reveal the identity of the individual who allegedly opposed his proposed appointment as Minister of State in charge of Finance.
In an interview on GHOne monitored by MyNewsGh, the Nhyiaeso MP explained that his decision was informed by maturity and advice from others within the political space.
“Is it everything that in public you have to say?” he asked. “I’m a very mature person, and I’ve been advised to keep quiet.”
Dr. Amoah said he did not believe naming individuals publicly would serve any useful purpose, especially when his original remarks did not include any personal references.
“Even if something were true, one hundred percent, I shouldn’t have said it the way or where I said it,” he admitted. “But does that mean I should be insulted the way people are insulting me?”
He maintained that the situation had been blown out of proportion, with his comments being reinterpreted in ways he never intended.
“They have misrepresented it. They have misconstrued it,” he said. “But I don’t even care.”
