Legal and Policy Analyst Austin Kwabena Brako-Powers has urged the presiding judge in the ongoing case involving Chairman Wontumi to remain firmly anchored to the facts of the case and avoid external influence as the July 3 judgment approaches.
Speaking on TV3, he stressed that the integrity of the court process must remain the priority, especially in a matter that has attracted significant public attention due to illegal mining concerns.
“My charge to the judge is to go ahead and discharge duties, be faithful to the facts, and not to be swayed by any public commentaries,” he stated.
Brako-Powers emphasised that the outcome of the case carries national importance, particularly given public concern over environmental degradation and the destruction of water bodies linked to illegal mining activities.
