Let’s forgive Nii Lantey Vanderpuye—Sammy Gyamfi begs NDC’s rank and file

Director of Communications for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Sammy Gyamfi, has urged members of the party to forgive Nii Lantey Vanderpuye for his comments about him in the course of the week.

It will be remembered that Nii Lantey, while speaking on Accra-based Channel One TV expressed dissenting views on the approach used by Sammy Gyamfi during his press conference to address GoldBod losses.

He said he would have used a different approach considering his years of experience as a communicator.

However, the National Chairman hopeful made a U-turn on his comments, indicating that he was sorry for condemning the GoldBod chief executive.

Speaking on the issue on Accra-based Joy News, Sammy Gyamfi urged the party’s grassroots to forgive the national chairman hopeful, indicating that he knows he has no ill intent against him.

“Hon. Nii Lantey Vanderpuye is one of those who have supported my young political career projection, I consider him a senior brother, and I know that he habours no ill-will towards me. We are all not perfect; sometimes in communicating, something may come across in a way we never intended it.

The man says he’s sorry, and I believe it ends there. Yesterday I had a hearty conversation with him, and we’ve put it behind us because at the end of the day we in the NDC have a party to build and a nation to govern,” he stated.
