A Nigerian man has argued that respect is the most important thing men seek in marriage, saying it matters more than money, food or intimacy.
In a video shared on X, he said, “The only thing a man is looking for in a relationship, in a marriage, is respect. It’s respect. I’m telling you, respect.”
He maintained that other aspects of a relationship are secondary, adding, “It’s not intimacy. Trust me. It’s not even the food or all the other things. You have to respect your husband.”
According to him, many women misunderstand what men value most in marriage.
“A man in the house craves respect. They want to feel like they’re in charge. It’s a man thing. Take it or leave it,” he said.
He concluded by encouraging women to make respect a priority, saying, “Just respect him. He’s going to do a lot more for you.”
