Award winning rapper, Sarkodie has expressed concern that the attention around his recent stage appearance with Shatta Wale in London was affected by Stonebwoy’s viral tweet.
The debate started after Stonebwoy posted: “These 2 guys have been faking to each other based on interests and timing. Convenient friendship. Even the devil hates that.”
The post came shortly after Sarkodie and Shatta Wale performed together at Kwaku Smoke’s concert in London, leading to public interpretation that it referred to them.
Speaking on the Afrobeats Podcast, Sarkodie said the timing has affected the beautiful moment he had with Shatta Wale.
According to him, this pattern has affected other situations he has experienced in the past.
“Over the years, when Ghana has any beautiful moment, something comes up and distracts from it,” he said.
Sarkodie stressed that he was not accusing anyone of acting deliberately but believes the pattern has become difficult to ignore.
“Whether intentional or unintentional, something comes up and kills the whole beautiful thing that has happened,” he stated.
He added: “I don’t know where that is coming from. We might have to pray to break that.”
