Black Stars head coach Carlos Queiroz says his team is determined to make Ghanaians proud and bring joy to supporters by winning as many games as possible at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Queiroz made the comment during a send-off event for the Black Stars before the team relocated to Rhode Island, where they will be based throughout the tournament.
Speaking at the event, Queiroz expressed confidence in the commitment and character of his players.
“On behalf of my boys, I just can as a coach guarantee that when you finish [watching] the games, you would want to be proud of them; I am sure of that.”
“The great goal that we have in mind… our duty and our goal is to make people happy and the more you can make more people happy if you win and we are ready to do that,” Queiroz said.
Ghana will face Panama, England and Croatia in Group L.
