Hamza Suhuyini has said the National Democratic Congress (NDC) is not treating the latest approval ratings as proof that everything is working perfectly.
Speaking on Joy News, he said the government recognises that there are areas where improvements are needed and that criticism should be taken seriously.
“We are not a perfect regime or government,” he stated.
The lawyer and NDC communicator said governments inevitably face challenges and cannot expect to satisfy every public expectation immediately.
“There are many things that we will get right and there are many other things that we will struggle to get right. It is only natural and human.”
According to him, the important issue is how government responds to concerns raised by citizens.
“We will be sincere to the good people of this country.”
Suhuyini said the IEA findings provide useful guidance on where public attention is focused and where government should devote additional effort.
“His Excellency President Mahama will work with this data and ensure that we address the areas where Ghanaians are not happy.”
He argued that governments benefit more from constructive criticism than from celebrating favourable ratings.
