Pastors At War: Kwame Mario Questions Their Real Motives

Entertainment commentator Kwame Mario has questioned the public feuds involving some Ghanaian pastors, arguing that genuine ministers of the same faith should not be engaged in bitter public confrontations.

Speaking on Angel FM, Kumasi, while commenting on the ongoing dispute between Prophet Adom Kyei Duah and Prophet One, Mr. Mario said the conflict raises concerns about the motives behind the disagreements.

“If the pastors who are now fighting against one another do not have any ulterior motives, why will they have to fight against themselves because it is the same God they are serving?” he asked.

According to him, religious leaders who profess to serve the same God should not allow their differences to escalate into public exchanges that risk undermining the faith of their followers.

Mr. Mario further argued that God does not require human beings to fight His battles, insisting that anyone who believes in God’s power should trust Him to defend His own cause.

“When I see someone fighting for God, it means the person is trying to say that God is powerless. If someone has power in His word, He should be able to fight His own battles,” he stated.

He also cautioned members of the public against assuming that religious leaders always put their followers’ interests first.

“There is no pastor who wants your interest more than their own. Their self-interest comes first,” he said.

Mr. Mario maintained that public disputes among pastors do little to advance the Christian faith and urged religious leaders to resolve their differences in a manner that reflects the values they preach.
