Praise be to his name – Bawumia praises God after primary victory

Faith formed the central thread of remarks delivered by former Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia during a Thanksgiving Service following his election as NPP flagbearer.

He described the internal process as orderly and calm.

“Our flag-bearership election was peaceful and incident free,” he said, attributing that outcome to divine support.

“Without God’s arms wrapped around us, we would not have been successful.”

The service, he explained, was rooted in gratitude.

Referencing Thessalonians, he reminded attendees of the call to give thanks in all circumstances.

“Praise be to His name, we are indeed thankful,” he said.

He also cited Psalm 118, reflecting on the passage that speaks of the stone rejected becoming the cornerstone.

The scripture, he indicated, served as a personal source of encouragement during the political journey.
