Raymond Archer confirmed as substantive EOCO Executive Director

Raymond Archer has been confirmed as the substantive Executive Director of the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO), ending his tenure in an acting capacity since August 2025.

EOCO Board Chairman Daniel Domelevo confirmed that Archer officially assumed the position on October 27, 2026, after serving as acting head following the departure of former director Abdulai Bashiru Dapilah.

Archer, a former investigative journalist, now leads the state agency responsible for investigating and prosecuting economic and organised crimes, including money laundering, human trafficking and related offences.

His confirmation comes amid mixed reactions to his leadership, with some praising his work at the Office while others have criticised what they describe as a high-handed approach to its operations.
