There’s no safe seat in Ghana now—Salam Mustapha

National Organizer aspirant for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Salam Mustapha, has explained that there is no seat in Ghana today that is a safe seat.

His argument is based on the results of the 2024 elections.

Mustapha made this assertion while speaking on whether Haruna Iddrisu is beatable considering his influence in Tamale South.

According to him, the education minister is beatable only if the opposition party presents a quality candidate and does the right things.

“If you ask me if Haruna Iddrisu is beatable I will say yes. With the right candidate, right resources and right strategy it is possible. There is no seat in Ghana today given what happened in 2024, there is no seat that I will say is not winnable. Do the right things and you can win,” he said.

On whether he will want to contest for the Tamale South seat in the coming years, he said, “I have not made up my mind yet. I am still doing politics at the national level, and at any point in time it becomes necessary to do so, I might consider it,” he said.

He disclosed that in the past, he was asked by friends to contest for the seat but he wanted to serve the youth wing of the NPP and serve in other portfolios in the political party.
