Ghana defender Jerome Opoku admits that England have a lot of quality players but said Ghana are ready for the challenge.
Speaking before Ghana’s important Group L match against England on June 23, Opoku looked back at the moment that decided their first game of the tournament.
“When the goal went in, emotions were high. You saw the reactions from the fans, the bench, and even myself. It was amazing,” Opoku said.
“Perfect three points, and that’s set the tone for the games coming.”
“Obviously we know they’ve (England) got good players. They’ve got great quality. But I think as a group, we know our qualities too. So this is another game for us, and we need to give our full fight like we did against Panama. Die for each other on the pitch.”
