Former presidential staffer Dennis Miracles Aboagye has questioned the broader impact of recent internal political exchanges within the New Patriotic Party (NPP), saying the focus should remain on unity and ongoing party work.
He said the current direction of discussions risks shifting attention away from party rebuilding efforts and the role of supporters.
“If he had won the election and Bawumia was doing this, would he be happy?” he asked, referring to Kennedy Agyapong’s recent outburst.
Mr Aboagye said internal disagreements should not overshadow the contributions of party members who continue to support and work for the NPP.
“There are young people counting on this party, and that is what we are focused on, not emotions,” he said on Asempa FM.
He added that the efforts of party supporters should be acknowledged rather than questioned.
“So is he saying the people sacrificing themselves for the party are doing so in vain? The millions of NPP supporters who have stood up for the party are basically being told that it is all in vain,” he stated.
He further expressed concern that the ongoing exchanges could distract from party priorities.
“I am hurt by that comment. He has distracted the party right now, so please do not disrespect the people who have sacrificed their lives for the party,” he added.
