Why I wrote a letter to the Chief Justice – Miracles Aboagye

A former presidential staffer, Dennis Miracles Aboagye has disclosed that he wrote to the Chief Justice about concerns regarding what he believes is the Judiciary’s relationship with the Executive.

He said he sent the letter about a month ago.

“I wrote a letter to His Lordship… where I itemised my worry about his relationship and his romance with the executive, and the fact that it’s becoming too glaring,” he said on JoyNews.

According to Mr Aboagye, although he did not receive a direct response from the Chief Justice, the Judicial Secretary later issued a statement addressing some of the issues.

“I thought, okay, it’s fine. At least they’ve clarified certain things,” he stated.

He said his decision to raise the concerns was motivated by his belief that the Judiciary must remain independent and maintain public confidence.
