Ghana’s Beach Soccer national team has started preparations for the 2026 CAF Beach Soccer Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
A total of 60 players have been selected for screening as the technical team begins the search for the best squad for the qualifiers against Nigeria.
The players have been selected from two zones across the country and will report in two groups.
The first group of 30 players, from Zone I, will report for screening at Laboma Beach on Tuesday, September 8, 2026.
The second group will have their screening at Keta Beach on Thursday, September 10.
After the screening, the squad will be reduced, with the selected players beginning intensive preparations for the two-legged qualifier against Nigeria.
Ghana will travel to Nigeria for the first leg between September 18 and 20 before hosting the return leg between September 25 and 27, 2026.
The winners of the first-round ties will advance to the second stage, where they will join 12 teams that have already been given a bye.
The teams will then compete in the next stage for places at the continental finals.
A total of 16 countries will compete for seven places at the CAF Beach Soccer AFCON Senegal 2026, with hosts Senegal already guaranteed a place at the tournament.
