At a Thanksgiving Service held in honour of Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, Walewale MP Mahama Tiah Abdul-Kabiru used the moment to jab the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) government.
“In one year, local farmers know what is happening. The rural farmers know what is happening.
“They are sweating,” he said, pointing to the strain faced by communities across the country. According to him, the signs are visible not just in cities but in rural areas as well.
Abdul-Kabiru argued that voters have already had the chance to assess the opposition.
“Ghanaians have had the opportunity to try the NDC after so many promises,” he stated, suggesting that expectations have not been met.
His appeal was direct. He urged citizens to shift their confidence toward Dr Mahamudu Bawumia.
“Dr Mahamudu Bawumia is now the one they have to put their faith in,” he said, expressing confidence that the NPP candidate offers a different path forward.
