Actor Ray Emodi has pointed to his formal training in acting as a key reason he takes breaks and decisions about his career seriously.
He explained that acting is not just a casual profession for him but something he studied academically.
“I studied acting in school, acting for film specifically,” he said. “I got my master’s in acting for film after my bachelor’s in business management.”
He said his approach to film is driven by respect for the craft rather than pressure to constantly appear on screen.
“I have high respect for acting. I don’t do it for other reasons. I do it for the craft,” he said.
Emodi added that overworking himself contributed to his decision to step back temporarily.
“I overdid it. That’s why I had to pause,” he said in in a video shared on his YouTube platform.
He said his goal going forward is to maintain a balance between output and quality.
“I just want to do enough work that is creatively fulfilling without draining myself,” he said.
